breath controller for my PA3X

Post by natidorai »

Hi all

I'm about to buy a breath controller but I don't know which one.
I undestood the yamaha bc3 isn't on production yet.

the best solution seems to be the http://www.tecontrol.se/products and the economic way (100euro)
anibody tried the new tecontrol breath controller USB on PA3x or pa900?
thanks for your reply

Yes you are right the Yamaha BC3 is no longer made.

The TEControl BC, there are two models: USB only and USB + MIDI DIN

The Kronos and the TEControl USB model work together, there are some users here on this forum with this combination.

I'm not sure that the PA3X/PA900 is a class compliant USB host like the Kronos. If it's not as I suspect, the USB-only TEControl device won't work.

The MIDI DIN connector of the other TEControl model will instead connect straight into the MIDI IN port of the PA3X/PA900 and will definitely work, provided you enable reception of external MIDI CCs and assign it to something meaningful.

Good luck!
