Saving different split points for different performances

Post by Gnashetta »

The split points I need for each performance I have stored (user banks in voices) varies. Although I know how to specify a global split across all performances, can splits be assigned and saved differently for each seperate performance? (I'm not using styles)

From the manual Page 112 ....

Global
There is a global split point, and a “local” one, that can be memorized into the Performances and STSs.

On You are editing the global split point. The global split point is considered when selecting a Performance or STS that does not contain a “local” split point.

Off You are editing the “local” split point memorized in the current Performance or STS.

PS. You will have to turn off 'EASY MODE' on your menu system to see the full SPLIT POINT menu.

I am just curious. How many split points can you have on the PA900?
The only stupid questions are the questions that have not been asked.

You can indirectly have upto 3 split points (to have 4 distinct sounds), by specifying the key range for each of the upper layer. You should ensure that the ranges are non-overlapping.

Multiple Key ranges Yes - multiple split points No!
