I cannot restore to the factory settings bank D.

Post by Art Rokz »

Hi,
I wanted to erase the Korgu m50 data I have stored in the banks D but when I choose the functions Load Preload date demo resets only banks A, B, C. I've tried also to upload new software but it does not help.

I cannot restore to the factory settings bank D.
Maybe I can make total reset somehow? Please help.
Thanks

This is probably normal. I'm guessing you are in Combi mode, and Bank-D is for your own self-created Combis. Factory restore will restore any changes done in Bank-A to C in Combi mode. In case you want to delete the combis present in Bank-D, one way is to find one Combi which says "init combi" in it's name, and copy that over the rest of Bank-D. It may be cumbersome to do this on the keyboard itself, although you can. Maybe you can look at PCG tools by Michel (michelkeijzers in this Forum).

With PCG Tools, you can either clear combis, but it only deletes the name and sets a few parameters, not all.

if you really want cleared combis, you can INIT a combi on your M50, then use PCG Tools to copy this easily to all other combis in the bank and load the resulting PCG file in your M50.

But clearing is mostly as good, since you probably are interested in knowing if a combi is filled or not; when you want to use a combi in the D bank, you probably want to initialize it, or otherwise copy it from another combi as a starting point.
