Recording with M50 Plugin Editor

Post by TheFe »

Hi everybody! :D

I'm working with Logic Pro 9 and my Korg M50 and I'm having some trouble in recording my parts, I'll explain.

I create a Software Instrument Track in Logic, then I set the "M50 Plugin Editor" for the input and then I record my part.

The problem is that when I finish the work all the sounds I've recorded don't go in the Stereo Out, but are still played by the Korg. This means that if I unplug the USB cable the track won't sound.

How can I do to make the track sound in the mix :?:

Thanks a lot!!

I do not use logic but with most daw's you need to record your results to an audio track from the midi track in order to gear the results in the final mix without the m50 connected.

Exactly as csteen said.

MIDI controls notes and events, M50 gets them and generates sound on its output.

If you want to capture the output, you have to connect the output to an audio interface and record it.

Note that if you want to use additional effects on some instrument racks, it is good to record them to separate audio tracks (meaning soloing one track and recording it as a whole).
