Accidently formatted SD CARD!

Post by microstationuser »

I had about 300 songs saved on my card, but accidentally formatted it the other day and am so gutted. I came across some SD card recovery software but can someone guide me towards getting all of my files back please as when I ran the software I can't find the Midi Sequence files that I'm looking for.

Any help is very much appreciated, Thank!

Hi

The recovery software usually only work with normal file types and they differ from software to software. For example read here

You can try and find one that will recover the files for you.
But if you dont succeed and the data is really valuable for you, you can take the card to a data recovery centre or shop where they can recover using hardware based recovery machines

Hope that helps a bit

Did you format the SD/Flash card with:
1) Quick (Fast) Format= Recoverable.
2) Full (Slow) Format= Probably not recoverable on Flash mem, but try it out.

What is the name of the recovery software?

When let software fast scan the files, it won't show the filesnames, only total files found, in your case 300 files/blocks.

You'll need to choose in the software for slow complete recovery, after recovery probably files won't show up with correct name/extentions.
You'll need manually rename the files to name.mid files.

Recommended recovery software: EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard Free:
