EXP2 problem with Pa3x

I wonder if anyone can help?

I am now on my second EXP2 NEW foot pedal, which I use to control the volume on my Pa3x. Both only allow reduced volume on full setting (pressed fully down and without the sound limit slider engaged I can't get the maximum volume that bypassing the pedal otherwise achieves).

When I try to calibrate on the pa3x, I get an 'out of range' error message.

I'm using the orange balanced cables that came with the EXP2.
I have tried calibrating with the limit slider both at minimum and maximum.

When the problem first presented, I swopped the pot over (first pedal) but the result was the same. I then bought another new pedal, which displays the same issue (though it did work at full volume for one gig).

Frustrating to have 2 EXP2's from new, both worked well, then shortly thereafter fail with the same symptom.

Can anyone help?
