So I plugged in my Korg NanoKontrol last night after a few month hiatus, and now it appears to be bricked.
When I plugged it into my powered USB hub, it worked at first, then all the transport buttons started intermittently flashing, and now all six transport led's remain lit and the device is no longer being recognized.
I have tried the device on my iPad2, and three different PC's, and every time I plug the device into a PC, I am prompted with error code 43, device not recognized. I have also used different usb cables to see if that would solve it, and its still not working.
I've tried to reset to factory settings, via the .pdf instructions, and nothing. I've opened it up and examined the board and the usb terminal and everything appears to be fine at a glance. It is obviously getting power, and none of the resistors appear to be fried. Is it possible that one of the IC's has been wiped or is bad?
Has anyone else encountered these problems? I have been searching for a fix, or someone with a similar error light, for the past day to no avail. At this point I'm lost. At least I only paid around $30 for it, nowadays it seems they sell for at least $30ish used on eBay, or upwards of $60 on other online retailers.
Bummer!
Is my Korg NanoKontrol shot, kaputt and altogether KIA?

Yes. The fix is simple, throw it in the trash where it belongs, and don't buy any more Korg products with the word "Nano" in their name.milos_silos wrote:....
