Hi
A few questions...
First if I load a style set (only styles not performance or sounds voice etc), does the keyboard loads all stuff required for that style? For example if that style has new voices/sounds in ST1-4, does the keyboard load them too? Or I need to load the from the set as well?
I'm asking this because I normally doesn't load the .SET and I go to subfolders and load them one by one.
The second question is, if it loads all its required voices, is it possible the keyboard override/replace the voice(s) of other styles?
The thing is, I am a bit confused. I had loaded a couple of styles previously and then recently I added some more styles, I also had a performance saved. Now I noticed some of the tracks of my old styles has changed to a different sound! which is annoying. Also one of my performances has also been changed and it doesn't sound like the one I created!!! This is really weird... Every time I load a new style I'm scared of loosing others!
Is this the way pa3x works or there is a bug or something?
Thanks
Loading a style seems to replaces other sounds

Yes it can be a bit confusing - if you load only styles then that is all you get. You need to load sounds as well if they are specific to particular styles.
It is a good idea to manage and maintain sound and style locations.
The PA series styles simply "reference" (i.e. point to) sound locations in the keyboard - so if new sounds are loaded the style will still use that same location - hence the sounds will be different.
The only time a style's sounds may change is if you have loaded sounds in the sound locations that the style is referencing.
Gosh - hope this helps !!!

Isn't that weird? So each time I load a single style I need to check what sounds that style is pointing to then load its original sounds to different location and correct the style to point to the right position!!!
I don't believe I spent nearly $4k for this keyboard and it doesn't have a basic feature. So what you guys do when you have hundreds of styles and you want to load them one by one and see which one suits you?
The EMC software they advertise on their website is only managing position of styles and not sounds... is there any other software to do this?

I don't actually think it is weird. I don't know of any arranger keyboard that does it differently.Isn't that weird? All (indeed most) styles would typically use sounds from factory settings or at least from an appropriate bank (e.g. guitar/organ/strings etc). Importing i3, PA1X, PA2X styles usually sound OK, BUT if you have a keyboard where you have changed many sounds (factory sounds too) then you will get some unexpected results.
A style does not actually "contain" any sounds - it merely "uses" sounds by reference - the same concept in all the arranger keyboards I have ever owned.
If you manage your sounds sensibly - keeping strings within the strings bank etc.. then you will rarely experience problems.
Loading and checking styles one-by-one has never caused me a problem HOWEVER, if you are wanting to "try" styles which were created on another Korg arranger where the sounds were installed in different (weird) locations, then you will get some weird results.
Hope this helps.
