Request for PCG Tools support for Korg Trinity

Post by michelkeijzers »

To analyze the structure of Trinity PCG files I need someone with a Trinity to save / edit PCG files. The structure is different than for Tritons and later workstations, therefor it has taken such a time to start with this.

So if someone has a Trinity with MOSS and about half an hour time, please do the following:
- Save your own PCG file (to restore it for yourself later)
- Load the default/preloaded PCG file.
- Save only Program Bank A to file PRGA.pcg
- Save only Program Bank B to file PRGB.pcg
- Save Program banks A, B, C and D to file PRBABCD.pcg
- Save Program bank MOSS to PRGMOSS.pcg
- Save Program banks A, B, C, D and MOSS to PRBALL.pcg
- Save Combi Bank A to file CMBA.pcg
- Save Combi Bank B to file CMBB.pcg
- Save Combi Banks A, B, C and D to CMBALL.pcg
- Save Drum Kit only to DRKIT.pcg
- Save Global only to GLOBAL.pcg
- Save Program Bank A, Combi bank A, Drum Kit and Global to PACADKG.pcg
- Save all items to ALL.pcg
- Edit name of program A000 from Tsunami Warning to Unami Warning (first character from T to U).
- Save Program bank A to PRGA_X.pcg
- Edit name of combi A000 from Trinity Overture to Srinity Overture (first character from T to S).
- Save Combi bank A to CMBA_X.pcg

Zip all files above and email them to me (michelkeijzers@hotmail.com)

It would help me a lot to see what the exact format of the banks are.

Kind regards,

Michel

why dont you download trinitro and do it yourself on the computer? theres also a conversion tool for trinity to triton although the effects has to be done at the end due to differences. i think thats the only problem.

I can try ... however it seems that PCG Tools is not really interesting then for Trinity users.

No problem,

The only think is that I have a Solo Tri, not the MOSS, but I can use trinitro to do it ;)

Thank you very much ... I will check it out this evening (now working so not possible). I also can check if I can save part of PCG files with it (and without having a Trinity myself).

That would be great ... it would be nice to have the MOSS versions from you and the non MOSS versions from metallo .. in that case I can try to add support for both types.

Dear Gorkymate, probably I have enough documentation now (I get some soon by another member too), but it might help if you can confirm the MIDI implementation pages are empty in your printed manual. Towards the end of the downloadable DPF manual are about 10 empty pages (only showing empty frames) ... Can you check in your (printed) manual if that is also the case?
