Add effects after recording a track in the sequencer?

I am working with the microSTATION. I have a track in the sequencer that I want to add effects to. When I am in measure 001:01 the effect Send2 is set to :018. As soon as I hit "Play" Send2 sets itself back to :000. I can't figure out how to get it to remain at :018; it always resets itself.

Can anyone tell me how to overcome this issue? (Parameter or Operations guide page number would be fine, or just tell me in plain English.)
