I also want to stress that when I read about the build quality on parts of this forum it was one of the things that put me off.
I personally think the build quality feels superb. I think some people may have over exaggerated the build quality, or else were extremely unlucky with the kronos they received (but in their defence, if I had one of the first ones with the data wheel problem and then the keybed problem, I too would have complained about the quality).
After reading this forum, I was pleasantly surprised how good the quality is. Just want to encourage those not sure about it that you wont regret it.
The only thing that could have been designed better quality wise is the front bar. It does it's job, but on my new machine, there's a larger gap between the outer keys and the bar than the middle keys. but even that, I probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't read about it on the this forum, hence made a point of looking at it.
My eyesight isn't what it used to be and I can understand why some people with eyesight worse than mine might struggle with the small writing on the screen. However, I was very concerned about the delay of the PC editor as I thought the touch screen would be a huge problem for me, but it's so crisp, clear and sharp, it reminds me of my Ipad 3, nothing blurry at all. I personally am not going to have any problem reading it.
Am a bit overwhelmed by it at the moment, not sure what to do first. So far I haven't watched the supplied vids or read any part of the manual, just been caught up trying out various pre-set sounds

Think I'll grab a coffee and watch the vids and take it from there.
I have cheap Wharfedale active monitors that I use on the occasions I actually properly try to mix things, but I usually play through my Mission speakers connected to a hi-fi amp. Some sounds, especially some of the organ sounds are not handled well by my Mission speakers, The Wharfdale handle them fine, so it appears that at some point down the line I may have to buy better speakers. But I value my life too much at the moment to dare suggest this to my wife

Sold the M3-M to a forum member and have 2 offers on my
Extreme on ebay with a 3rd person asking me about it. Am going to loose about £300 on what I brought it for in January but they don't seem to be selling at the moment for much more

Still. that will be over half what I paid and I also have zero use for the free hard case as it will never be moved from where it is now, so I could possibly sell that too.
All in all a very good week and I've got all day to spend pm my Kronos so why on earth am I still typing.
Speak to you all later
best
Joe
