Converting .wav to midi

Hiya everybody,

This might turn out to be a silly question:

Is there an app to convert a melody to midi notation?

I have a single instrument in .wav format that would take too much time to do manually.

You might have to do a lot of editing to get your midi score right, depending on of how good your original track was performed of course.
