Post by emmanouel thomas »

Issue. I have installed all the apps and fix for win7 however I can't hear my M-50 sound from my speakers. also I don't see it in the recording device list. can some one help me?
I also use Sony ACID but the keyboard is not listed in the audio device section

Is this a joke? Connect the line out to the Korg M50 PC input? Or just the USB cable? The Korg M50 USB cable does not transmit audio, only MIDI.

The USB provides a MIDI connection for controlling softsynths or the M50 and programming with the editor. It eon't carry any audio signal.

If you are trying to get audio into your PC to hear you will have to connect the M50's audio outs to the line in on your PC then you can hear the sounds and record them.

I am trying to buy a Behringer 302. would this be a good sound mixer with my laptop to use with M-50?

It looks really nice, and is a bargain for that price. But I always tell people to think in advance, when asking these questions. What are your intentions? Do you have plans for adding another instrument to the mix, maybe some mics in the future? If the answer for those are yes, at least for one, you might be better served with a mixer with a couple more channels and microphone XLR inputs. Just think about it.

If on the other hand, you only need to connect your M50, you don't even need a mixer. A simply miniplug to 1/4 plug Y cable will suffice.
