MicroArranger: Lay down chords, then experiment with styles

Post by IntrepidPete »

MicroArranger Sequencer Question: Anyone know if you can lay down the chords for a song on the first take, then experiment with various styles and fills and such on subsequent takes? I sold my Yamaha PSR-3000, because it was pretty much just for live play, not studio song multi-track recording, meaning you had to always be playing the chords to get the accompaniment. What I would prefer is to get the chords all recorded into the song, then go back and experiment with various styles and fills without having to play the chords any longer.

Also, Can you do basic stuff like insert a measure into the middle of a song? I don’t need a full-featured sequencer like on a keyboard workstation or DAW software, but I do need basic stuff like insert/delete measure, and the PSR could never do basic song features like that.
