Using different outputs on Kronos

Post by Darren170 »

I really hope somebody on here can help!

I've just bought a Kronos 61 to use for live work such as theatres etc. I want to be able to sequence a few tracks and send only one of the tracks to a different output...for example output 4. This is so that I can create a cowbell click track for a drummer and send this separately to him without it being heard through the main l-r output.

I have been using Mainstage for this but thought The Kronos would be easier!!

I've not been able to find any option where I can select and output for the tracks.

Please help!!!!

Thanks,
Darren.

Hi!

Select your cowbell track to output 4 from IFX Routing page. Every track is L/R by default. Open from this arrow button and select 4.

Using different outputs on Kronos

You can save a MIDI track by setting your metronome to "Record and Play" then sending it to "Audio Outs 1-4. You can then set the "Metronome volume" 0-127 to suit your needs.

Please note I have had extreme metronome audio output problems with my Kronos. I send the Metronome out to Audio out 1, and many times it gets routed to the "L/R"or doesn't sound at all. This problem has been finally resolved with the latest OS, thank goodness.

That click track tends to need to be routed through some type of effect too... It helps get a good volume signal .... You may also have to do the plug in half way thing....to get it to come through both head phones.
