I'd like to to play some predefined chords with Keys.
So I set the Pads under global to C1-G1 (i have a 61).
If i'm Playing in Progmode everythng is fine and like it should.
By pressing SW1 the Keyboard is shifted down and i can play the Pads on the keys.
Now, i'd like to do the same in Combi-Mode.
If I press SW1 ALL Progs are shifting!!!
I know thats the expected behaviour, but i need only the one part shifted.
Q1: how can i shift only the Needed part?
Q2: is it possible to shift permanently without SW1 for a single Part?
Q3: is there a better solution for playing predefined chords on keys?
sure, i could buy a nanoPad but I think I have this € 3k wonderworkstation. It should be possible without extras.
Someone some Ideas?!

Q1. You can select which timbres the SW1 controls in the P:3-3 screenCombination -> Midi Filter/Zones -> Midi Filter 3 - Parameter Guide pg. 465.
Q2. In the P:2-3 screen (Combination -> Timbre Parameter -> Pitch) in the Transpose box you can drop the pitch of the desired timbre by an Octave (-12)
Q3. In Combi Mode Chord Pads are triggered either from the Pad Screen or by assigning keys to Pads in Global Mode (as you have done). I prefer to use an external midi controller to trigger the chord pads - if you use a USB connection with Korg Pad controllers to send midi (like the Nanopad) then the chord pads are automatically mapped to the first 8 pads. You can also use any class‐compliant midi controller via the standard midi connection to trigger the Global assignments.
Alternatively you could copy the combi into the Seq and use RPPR to trigger chords.
However, using the RPPR in Seq and triggering chords from the Kronos's keyboard will mean that you lose the keyboard range that triggers the pads or the RPPR pattern.

For me neither the Midi Filter 3 nor pitch timbre is working.
it looks like you can not filter octave up/down with Midi Filter 3
I've unchecked ALL 16 Timbres with no luck.
EVERY timbre is Octave switching.
the same with Transpose. The Timbre ist switched up/down but the pads will not be triggered.
the global definition is unusable in my opinion. Who would spend 8 Keys permanently for the pads.
I'd like to know what this feature was ment to be?!
i think this way its only usable with external devices.
please tell me the contrary

Re: Midi Filters - yes I'm having the same problem. I can transpose each timbe individually with the Osc ->pitch tab; however when I try to use the SW1 to drop the octave of a single timbre with the midi filters turned off for the other timbres then all the timbres still drop.
I tried using an initialised combi to make a combi with just 2 timbres but could not get the Midi filters to work with the 'drop octave' control on SW1.
I have to admit I'm confused. Maybe someone else can shed some light on the SW1 and Midi filter behaviour when in Combi Mode.

Hi, guys,
Just another example (hope I can explain in english).
Once I used 20 specifics chords + samples
For this, I created three combis (At the time I did not find another way to do, without using a sequencer):
Midi 1 = Piano
Midi2 = Organ - Pad Chords (For exemple: C2, E3, C4, G3 and C7)
Midi 3 = Sample (Pad) - trigger a brass sequence by note C7
I selected a note for each pad and enable Karma Scennes to "turn on" midi channels 2 and 3 (for example C1)
So, I could play the piano and activate (by Karma) Organ (chords and samples, pressing only one note (C1).
On Set list, I changed combi to each part off music (Set 1 = 8 first chords, Set 2 = 8 second chords...)

In the Parameter Guide (Page 465) for assigning midi filter to SW1/SW2 it says:
so these are the only parameters that the Midi Filter 3 will effect. These settings are valid if these keys are assigned to
SW1 Mod. (CC#80), SW2 Mod. (CC#81), or Portamento
SW (CC#65).
