pitch shift held constant on input

Post by mattmilk »

Hi, could anyone tell me if the pitch shift effect on the KP3 would allow me to permanently effect a live vocal i.e. i speak through the mic input and the out put signal would be constantly pitched down or up, or does it only work on a sample.
Thanks for any help

if you're talking specifically about the pitch shift effect then yes, all you would have to do is engage the hold button. now if you're referring to how you can slow down or stretch a loop or sample with the looper/sample function then no. I'm not sure you could find any hardware device which will stretch/slow down an audio source in real time in that manner.
