Grid Sequencing - Help Needed!

Post by brazenhead89 »

Is there any way of assigning a created grid sequence pattern to a specific measure of track? All of my sequences seem to start at the very beginning of the song, and the only option I have of assigning them to specific measures is copy/pasting them to a particular bar and erasing the original drums from the start of the track.

Furthermore, it seems grid sequence is only useful for saving one drum pattern and ONE ONLY - every time I go into it, it automatically loads my first created grid sequence and erasing all sounds from the grid is an absolute chore.

So does anybody know a way of not only creating multiple grid sequences for my song, but also assigning them to certain measures? Being restricted to only one loop, and having that loop start at the beginning of my song every time without fail seems like an utterly ludicrous oversight. There must be a logical method, right? Help a noob out, guys!

I am having the same difficulty. Is there a way to use the grid sequencer to create multiple drum patterns that can be placed at different locations in a song?

I thiink no, this mS seq. is just a simple/limited one.
The microArranger will do the job.

Read the microSTATION_ParamG_E2.pdf Parameter Guide about what's possible.

You cannot do that with the gird sequencer.

There is an alternative, you can do it using PC sequencer and then exporting the file as midi or something for the MS.

You can sequence certain measures. Just go to Play->Loop, select the looped measures, and go to the grid sequencer.
