Korg newbie and a tech question

Post by 3nglenn »

Hello all! I recently purchased an M50 to augment my current setup. Very outstanding board, fantastic sounds. I've been Yamaha dependent up to this point, so the M50 really rounds things out. I play in a church band, so the M50 pads, strings and voicing really helps make things, well, epic. This is a great forum too.
I'm sure there is a difference between Korg terminology and Yamaha. One of my favorite Combi's is the Endless Choir, Combi B 94 I think. What I would like to do is be able to just change the "attack". Somewhat clueless as to where to look. Hope someone can help. No doubt it's very simple.... Ahh, these rookies....
Take care all. G.P.

Endless choir is a great combi. But I use it on the OASYS not the M50; the same sound is on the Kronos and the M3. That means I can't help as I don't know the M50 screens!

So I suggest you post your question here in the M50 section - http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... m.php?f=53; there you're more likely to get responses from fellow M50 users.

Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to KF :)

I have the M50 but not installed with me now.

However, you should check if one or two oscillators are used and change them on both if two oscs are used.

Go to the tab for VCA or Amp(litude) for OSC1 settings and you see afaik a so called ADSSR graph (similar like ADSR but the M50 has an additional Slope part). However, you will find the attack time there which you can change.

Don't forget to save the program when finished.

You also could load the parameter guide and search for attack or ADSSR.
