Creating Combination in Editor

Post by timraaf »

Hi There,

When I'm trying to create my own combination on the editor (on a MAC) and i assign the sounds to the different layers. The only layer that is giving me a sound is the 1st one. the other layers do not respond. Can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong?

Korg seem to have not thought this through properly.

There are many steps to making a track actually sound.

I am not sure I can remember them without the editor in front of me, basically the editor needs a rethink from Korg, they could employ some programmers from Roland or Apple who are so very good at these things.

Try setting MIDI channel to Gch or else to 1, track by track. It is on a tab somewhere hidden deep in the editor and not at all obvious.

By default, every program in a combi are auto assigned to a different midi channel. From 1 to 16. In order to hear them, you must change the midi channel of each program you wish to layer and play together to the global channel, or the channel the keyboard is set to.

for those of you who don't like the editor, i encourage you to join the 'campaign for a new m.s. editor' found on this forum.
please submit your ideas, and thoughts, and you can read other people's troubles with the software.
