Did your Kronos already crash, and if yes, how often ? With Ram Extension or not ?

Yes, it crashed already once, but never again.

Kronos crashed

Post by MRedZac »

Hello @ all !

Just left my Kronos alone for about 4 hours now, just it was turned on in Setlist Mode, nobody was working on it at all. As I came back now, it tells me in the Display, that Kronos cannot boot, due to a failure and shows the Kronos Boot Logo... So I suppose it tried to restart and crashed during bootup... I turned it off an on again, then it booted just normally...

Really, something is not ok with this OS... Korg needs to figure it out, if they don´t want to loose the users trust on it sooner or later...

I will keep an eye on it...

Cheers

It would have been relatively constructive if you had added one "No it hasnt crashed" option. Is the poll only for people who have had theirs crash?

Its fine, i didnt mean to come off so critical either, luckily i havnt gotten mine yet so i couldnt vote, so the poll isnt compromised.

edit: i believe you can edit the poll

I've had one crash, but that was prior to OS1.5. Korg acknowledged that problem and claimed it was fixed in 1.5. Since upgrading to 1.5, there have been no crashes. So as near as I can tell, that problem was indeed fixed. (hard to know this with absolute certainty since the crash was so rare in the first place, but I haven't had any crashes since OS1.5)

I only had one crash during booting when a usb stick was inserted while botting and before the OS upgrade. Since it is a known 'problem' the workaround is very easy: insert the stick after booting. Never crashed again so I am very happy with the robustness of the software so far.

Haven't had any crash so far, neither with old OS nor with new OS.
I'm beginning to think I have a miracle device.
