Check the effects to see if a "Vinyl Record" is being used.

The sound your hearing might be intentional as it's used in music from time to time. If you don't like it you can turn it off.

Sharp.

And just FYI: since OS 1.5 the effect stops after using SST.

As Sharp mentioned this is an intentional effect. :D

It's associated to the SCRATCH effect on the MFX1 slot in the MFX/TFX tab.

It's triggered when flicking the joystick downward to give a scratch effect. 8)
Also the intensity of this effect is controlled by turning Mixer Knob 8 (USER4), so turning it anticlockwise turns off the effect.

Hope this helps.

Things like this should be written down in the improvements PDF that follows the download but it seems Korg does not write down the improvements, such as this and the GM bank improvement that was implemented without 'any' info. Which other improvements are we missing out because of lack of info?
Cutting of this effect with SST is good since that was one effect I found annoying with SST since it follows the sound you use after it even if you don't want to have the vinyl effect :)

I also don't understand why Korg did not write a complete list ... I think it would have some advantages:
- to understand why Korg took the time for the update
- advantages to end users because they have improved features
- ... and know what has changed
- 'free' advertisement towards new customers interested in the changes.

however that would be positive for korg and the customers would be informed better, but I think they will make just the minimum, but if one day they do it that will be very good for them
