It seems that some people (myself included) have to run the update twice in order for everything to work.
So I would just add…..
12- When powering up look for the OS version in the display. If your still running 1.0.4 then repeat steps 4-11.
13- Enjoy!

then the update ran on the synth, from this 4 files:
- KRONOS_Update1_5_0.taz.gz (ZIP)
- install.info
- posttar.sh
- pretar.sh
on the USB Stick you get 5 files:
- KRONOS_Update1_5_0.taz.gz (ZIP)
- install.info
- posttar.sh
- pretar.sh
- mnt
Then you have to rerun the update and then it will work.

no need to format anything, I just copied the required files on the USB drive and followed the procedure described in attached pdf and everything worked I only had to do it once..Amos922 wrote:I would hate to have to format my USB flash drive but In order to run the update on kronos, does the USB drive have to be completely empty with only the 1.5 update files..or will it automatically detect the folder with the files for the update regardless of how much stuff is on my USB flash drive?

Ok thank you..im going to try it here in a few.
