well, if the release date of the editor holds true, maybe we'll get both at the same time.

No rush, take your time Korg...back from where i come from they have an old
say: A fast female dog (dont wanna say the word) gives birth only to blind puppies).
We ain't going nowhere, take the time and try to fix issues we have come up with
and some probably that will come in the next few days.
I'd rather have them all fixed then 2GB of useless RAM.

In that case I can spend some time changing PCG Tools a bit more and not wait for a fast update for patch 1.5.

So we have 3 different announcements from 4 sites now: 8)

- Korg USA STILL reads:
"The update is free to all registered Kronos owners, and will be available for download in mid-October of 2011 at www.korg.com/kronos"
- Korg Japan still says end of october
- the German Korg site agrees with the Japanese
- and one source at Korg France says end of November (while we still can't be sure if this is a mistunderstanding confusing it with the planned editor release date)
Like most of you I can live with a later release, though it prevents (re-)organising user patches in a proper way for now - which I would really like to do rather now than later.

Anyway I would appreciate if Dan or Rich could get clarification from Korg Japan and post it here, just to get planning and expectations straight, instead of checking Korg/Kronos regularly and completely in vain for a month.
Kronos 73 - Moog Voyager RME - Moog LP TE - Behringer Model D - Prophet 6 - Roland Jupiter Xm - Rhodes Stage 73 Mk I - Elektron Analog Rytm MkII - Roland TR-6s - Cubase 12 Pro + Groove Agent 5

Yes I don't think it's in the best of Korg to have such different dates on official Korg sites.

And I can imagine about reorganizing... even tough I have PCG Tools I haven't used it for reorganizing since I don't want to remove patches already.

Don't mind waiting for OS 1.5. But I do mind having to wait for advertised features (plugin editor).
Tool box: Kronos 61, Fantom FA06, ASR-10, MPCX, MPC Live, and MPC 4000.

2nd week of November is Acceptable.

It's very easy to start a bogus thread. It could have been a typo or just a mistake.
Isn't it a little peculiar that all countries except for France are still posting October?

I'm sticking with October.. if I'm wrong, I don't have a problem with that!

Remember that all these countries are going to have to put out different PFDs for the various languages that come with 1.5. So some countries may release it earlier than others.

+1. The new rumor wouldn't be so believable if it were still mid October and not 4 days til November.

Well, it'll be here when it gets here. In the meantime it's not like I'm losing any sleep over waiting for the editor and OS update (although I am losing plenty of sleep trying to master at least half the sound engines) :P

I can't imagine the French translation will be available earlier than the English. Never saw an engineer (outside France) writing a technical document in French ... even I as a Dutch engineer writes only documents in English (at least for business purposes).

I know its frustrating that if something is announced and it is not there. But what will be the use of writing if something is acceptable. You already bought the Kronos, probably not even knowing there would be an OS update in October or November.

Besides, what can you do? Writing the OS yourself? Actually, I wish I could (or at least change some parts). But we have to leave that to Korg (besides, they are best in it).

So far we only can wait, but I hope Korg will take more care about better and even more important - country related consistent - announcement dates.
