good saxaphone sound

Post by aerosmith »

I used to have a good sax sound from the korg M1 (still have it) and am looking for a similar pcg file to replicate that what I call screaming saxaphone sound. On the m50 sax sounds are so weak. Any links please greatly appreciated,

I've been trying for that elusive sax sound as well. (since 2009) You're right, the saxophone is very weak on the M50. Not at all like the previous versions of the sax on the M1, Triton & TR. I thought Korg always had the best sax sound. I don't know why they didn't at least keep the old sax samples since they were so realistic. But they didn't. The current samples in the M50 just won't do sax solos. I've tweak them for hours trying to get something even remotely satisfactory or comparable to my TR to no avail. I have used the M50 sax in some of my backing tracks and they sound ok in the mix but not as a solo sax. I've had problems with the piano as well.

So to correct this problem I bought a Yamaha MOX6 to use as my main keyboard. The sax is good, better than the M50. But I still like my TR better, and would use it, but its falling apart.[/quote]
