Page 79 Advanced Manual SF1 & Sf3

Post by centauramp »

I found this on page 79 of the Advanced users manual.

"The Load Sample function allows you to read samples (Korg
“.KSF”, Akai® “.S1” or “.S3”, “.AIFF” and “.WAV”) from a storage
device."

So it looks like the PA3X will load sound fonts this is good news. I have a great Rhodes sample but what I had to go thru to get it on my Pa1xPro Elite was a nightmare, and it does not sound as good as being played thru software on my computer. Good Luck

Correction to previous post on Sound Fonts

I miss read the part on page 79 advanced users manual. .s1 & .s3 refers to the Akai fonts.
So you still have Extract & convert sound fonts to get them into the PA3X. Sorry about the bad previous posting.

Check out this web site I think this is the software I used to convert my Rhodes sound font to Korg format. There's a 30 day free trial
http://korgpa2xpro.yolasite.com/basic-s ... torial.php
I also may have also used www.wavextractor.com
I remember my sound font was 5 layers deep from soft to overdrive loud. It split the sound font into 5 separate files each ending with a .kmp . Follow the instructions 1st web site I listed as how to do all of this. I had to play around with this for a while, I remember there was something that was not matching up, but I eventually got it.
Good luck Bob S
