Korg PA3X arriving in USA

Today I called Korg USA and tried to find out why the korg pa3x 61 is not available for sale in the USA. I basically told them that i'm a consumer that wants to purchase/order this keyboard and have it delivered within a few days of ordering, just like any other korg or any manufacturer. I was told that it is in high demand and that I should order it and wait until it arrives eta 2 months. which is not good enough for me. I would rather order it when its in stock and receive it in a normal time. I mean its not like they build them one at a time or per order. sounds like the run around and I don't know why. I was hoping to get an answer from korg italy or japan. or whoever builds these things, when I/customer/USA will be able to get one of these high demand keyboards than the company cannot fulfill orders keyboard. thanks

I am not sure you are being fair here.... MOST high end keyboards are not widely available the first few months they come out, as pre-orders get sold first. After all, if you HAD pre-ordered and paid for your PA3, would you be happy the store sold it to a walk-in?

I remember the G70, the Tyros's, definitely the Ketron's, ALL of these were not widely available in the first few months.

Your best bet might have been to simply order one from a store with a good return policy. That way, you get first bite of the apple, but if you don't like, return it, no harm no foul... But if you want to be able to try one out in your local store first, like the rest of us, you are just going to have to wait!

thanks for your reply. I will be buying from guitar center. No need to try it first. GC has already delivered 2 of them and now 9 on preorder. in a highly diverse market here in detroit. mainly middle easterners ordered. But ill have to wait, no problem. Korg is using some parts of the world as guinea pigs to test this key. which is fine with me. that ways its proven and tested once it reaches the US.

You could pre-order with GC? It's not even listed on their site yet, so how did they do it?

I am sitting here with one in front of me.... orders ARE already being filled, but obviously, in the order they were received. My friend (it's his, not mine) pre-ordered quite a while back, once Korg announced they were adopting the Roland Chord Sequencer feature (his 'must have' feature).

Korg aren't using ANYONE as a 'guinea pig' so the unit is bug-free by the time it hits the US shores. THEY ARE ALREADY HERE.

I didn't know about music 123.... .Still, it's better for me to get it directly from the GC itself, because I usually use their financing option for big purchases and I already have a credit line with them, but if i wanted to get it from musicianfriend then i would have to open a second credit line, which is not a good idea. It's still a mystery for me as to why GC is only advertising the optional speaker system but not the keyboard itself.

Guys, i'm just saying. Believe me I love KORG and i'm sure we all do. I just would like to get this keyboard because, its out there already and i'de like to have one to start work on it. I guess I'll just t have to wait, enjoy yours.

p.s. Assyrianpianist, regarding GC, I just went there and the guy checked in the computer if any were ordered and delivered (2) units.... they were special orders of course. They're just limited quantity. Its based upon availability. and no clue on when they'll be there.

well, I placed the order just now. The guy told me that I should be getting it in 10 days or so, but from what I read here, I already knew it would take over a month. My PA800 is totally worn out. I had to either get another one, or get a PA3x and have an expensive back up plan. Good thing i'm not married!

I special-ordered mine at end of May from GC and have not receive it yet...Talked to GC corporate today and Korg USA and they told me that they pushed delivery to mid-end of September....Korg has not receive any in weeks...They are back-ordered.... Horrible... I do not know what is reason but Korg definetely needs to do something about delivery...
