Keygate mode problems

Post by Mr.7er »

Hi everyone! I'm new here, just got my microsampler online and I need to know if it's working alright..... When I sample using key gate mode, some of the keys alter the pitch of what I sampled. Is this normal? I think it should sample exactly what I was listening to right? please help! thanks.

I'm assuming these pitched samples are to the left of the key you're sampling on. This is normal. The microSampler will try to fill up empty slots to the left with pitched versions of the key that has the sample. I don't know why this is, but you can overcome it by simply starting at the far left key and filling the slots from left to right.

Thanks! I guess I was nervous about having to mail it back (I'm not that keen on internet shopping, most people don't use this method in Spain)

another problem

Hello all!

I'm new to microSampler too and wanted to know if it works alright.

My problem is that when I activate Sampling in KeyGate mode, all the LEDs blink simultaneously. And when I record a sample onto a key (in sample mode), during playback the sample plays in some of the other keys as well, (but probably in the same pitch).

Is there something wrong with my microSampler?

I cannot return it to the seller, but only claim warranty from KORG, if there is.
