Has anyone seen this? I know the voice is a Vocaloid synth app and the voice called Hatsune Miku. Does anybody know if this app can be bought as software and then be downloaded into Kronos and used in a song creation or is it a stand alone piece of hardware. My googling is letting me down at the moment.
Thanks,
Matty

No, you can't load Vocaloid onto the Kronos. Vocaloid runs as a VST plugin or standalone and can be conected to via Rewire. I have Vocaloid Lola. Yamaha actually had a pre-cursor to the Vocaloid system that was a hardware item... it was the PLG100-SG card that plugs into a compatible Yamaha synth (just like all the PLG100 and PLG150 series cards) that could play simple consonant and vowel sounds by itself or you could create words using the SG Lyric Editor app. It was only released in the Far East.

This YouTube video will show you what the PLG100-SG card does in a suitable host synth module: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEs2bVF3pNA
Lots of Yamaha synths and modules can host the PLG cards, personally, I have a CS6R and an MU100R to host PLG100-VL, PLG150-VL and PLG100-SG cards.
