I think the last iElectribe-update makes it possible!
Look here: http://www.korguser.net/ielectribe/en/changes.html

There Korg says:
"Also, you can sync by receiving MIDI clock from external USB-MIDI devices"

But you must use the Camera Connection Kit and USB-midi-device (no wifi)!

Okay. Well. Uh.

First, MIDI over USB doesn't work at all. Tried every single MIDI channel (inc Ch10, as specified). Absolutely DEAD.

Second, MIDI over OSX Network wifi works. On any MIDI channel.

Third, the clock sync is WRETCHED. It's so far off on the timing that it's totally unusable.

Korg gets props for at least using the words iElectribe and MIDI in the same sentence, though. I'll give them that.

If anyone has different results, I'm ready to stand corrected. :x

Issues with iElectribe Midi sync

Post by acemonvw »

Hey guys,

So I'm noticing delay issues with MIDI clocks with the iElectribe. Here's my setup:

Spectralis --> Korg Radias --> iElectribe (via Camera USB connection)

When I push 'play' on the spectralis, it goes to the radias and plays with no delay in sound, but iElectribe is like 1/10 a second slow so it sounds like garbage when plugged in.

I have the latest iOS, pretty much everything is up to date. Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks!

iElectribe over wifi?

Post by sergiogranadamoreno »

Hi everybody
I just get an IElectribe and I wonder if now days is impossible to sync midi clock over wifi from a computer based daw in the app. I would like very much to follow the clock of Traktor pro in my MacBook
Any advice or comment will be appreciated.
Wonder if this subject is continued somewhere else since there is so few messages...
:)
