Re: DX7 patches compatible?
That's a bonus! I guess this is 'allowed' either because Yamaha owned Korg in '83 (I think?) or because the patent has expired??jemkeys25 wrote:are you telling me i can import my dx7 sounds to the mod7 and they'll work?
FM patch links don't seem to be active
I looked through the OASYS forum and did a google search. All of the links that may have been valid when MOD7 was released to OASYS users don't seem to be active. Can someone point me to a valid link that has this large batch of FM patches/sysex? Thanks

That link is gone, but THIS ONE should get you started.mymusic42 wrote:Can someone point me to a valid link that has this large batch of FM patches/sysex? Thanks
You know, Korg had an FM synth back in the day and it was pretty decent.
Current Korg Gear: KRONOS 88 (4GB), M50-73 (PS mod), RADIAS-73, Electribe MX, Triton Pro (MOSS, SCSI, CF, 64MB RAM), SQ-64, DVP-1, MEX-8000, MR-1, KAOSSilator, nanoKey, nanoKontrol, 3x nanoPad 2, 3x DS1H, 7x PS1, FC7 (yes Korg, NOT Yamaha).

Ah yes, I'd forgotten about that - the DW series I think?McHale wrote:You know, Korg had an FM synth back in the day and it was pretty decent.
I used to have a Korg 707 come to think of it, and that was FM...
This one used to be thedx7.co.uk but has been re-hosted elsewhere http://homepage.ntlworld.com/steve.sims/ Quite a few .SYX there, too

DS-8, I believe.iixorbiusii wrote:Ah yes, I'd forgotten about that - the DW series I think?McHale wrote:You know, Korg had an FM synth back in the day and it was pretty decent.
