Lead sound on Korg M50?

Post by Relicanth »

how can I get this lead sound on Korg M50?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPxceWvy_mo

At 1:25 is the lead sound.

Will I need an effects pedal to get this sound? I tried an overdrive pedal and it made all my lead sounds worst to be honest.

How can I achieve this sound?

Try a sample called "Detuned PWM", run it to an overdrive/distortion, try changing the drive and send amount. Remeber that if you have the filter wide open, it gets noisy, so you'll have to also tweak the filter
Gear: Korg M50, Korg Monotron, Kurzweil KP-1, Boss FS-5U.

Once you've learned on how to add MFX or IFX, look in the "Double Size" category of effects, its the only one that the right side in the effect selection screen.

You should find some guitar amp with distortion there.
