SV-1 New Owner

Post by TonalityTech2 »

I've read everything I can on the SV-1. I've read this entire SV-1 forum and practically the entire internet on this keyboard. I bought the 73. And... I bought it without every playing it. I love it.':D'
I'm going to give the unit and me a little breathing room. i.e. I'm going to let me do the driving and let Korg ride shotgun. Not until I have a really good feel for the keyboard am I going to up-grade to the new sounds. I use very little EQ and sometimes no PRE-FX and no AMP on many songs. The reverb and delay are fine the way they are. OK, the tape echo could use some adjustment. I love the key-bed. It's very responsive and the only issue I have is A flat above C4 has a little squeak. I applaud Korg for they're efforts in creating a board for vintage players. I play a lot of blues and some jazz and this unit speaks for it's self. I found a great fitting gig bag. The SKB KB-76. It's the best quality bag out there for the SV-1. I have not seen the KORG bag. But I have read on 3 articles that it's over priced and not very good quality. All I can say is I own the KB-76 and it's a great fit. I'm really looking forward to doing some editing with the software. I'm sure I can make an improvement with the Hammond patch.
