smooth live recording

Post by whiteleech »

Ok whenever im trying to record a synth across say all 8 bars i find it extremely hard to get a smooth transition from the 8th bar back to the 1st - there's usually either a slight gap or i do it too late and the note carries on and overwrites the original note.

Is there a way i can make it automatically stop recording after the 8th bar so i can just hold the note down and release after its stopped recording thus creating a smooth transition?

cheers!

A workardound is that you step-edit the last note of the last bar and adjust its length manually. Works for me.

That's exactly what I do!

I like to lay down a real-time bassline, then if it is not exact or a little sloppy, go back step by step and tighten it up. Works great!

@whiteleech

If you're not sure how to do this, check page 60 of the manual for "Editing pattern sequence data" for details. :D
