Blofeld 100%...get the sample option upgrade for it.
I'm not gonna bad mouth the others, but lets just say the others are much more limited compared to the Blofeld. You can load samples into it..ppl have loaded drum samples into it using it a a full fledged drum machine layered with its internal synth parts. And lets face it... Korg filters suck...I've had an Em-1 and Karma filters are just aweful on those. I cant speak on the Gaia but from what I see its marketed for the kiddies..Blofeld CAN, WILL, and probably does have those hyped trancey sounds as presets like you will see in gaia vid demos, but as far as sound creation goes YOU WILL be happy with the blofeld....Waldorf filters are straight black coffee... if you have a daw download the largo demo from the waldorf site...it engine is almost identical to the blofeld..maybe less wavetables and not as many osc's, and the largo adds a sub osc...the same subosc sound can be achieved with blofeld it just doesnt have a dedicated subosc per voice...the blofeld has the sample option too...drop some goldbaby juno samples in their and your gold... Microkorg XL really...get an EA-1 secondhand and a midi controller...same thing...
