Help on stalling OS3.01

Post by jpostal »

My PA1x was working fine under OS 3.00, but the forum recommended upgrading. I followed all the instructions, but after loading all four disks and reststarting, when I go to Disk Mode none of the tabs along the bottom including the utility tab necessary to load the Resources respond. I have tried reloading 3 times, and even created new OS 3.01 disks with the same results. Where do I go from here. By the way, I had difficulty creating the disks, having to try 2 or 3 times to get the exe files to create the disks.

Very frustrated from having a wonderful instrument to play to now having a dead one.

You MUST re-calibrate the touch screen immediately after installing the OS otherwise it is very likely that the screen will appear to not respond.

You can get to the calibration screen by pressing GLOBAL button and then pressing it again and holding it down.

Hope this helps

How to install PA1X os 3.01

Post by PA1X FAN »

Hi there guys I just bought a korg pa1x and it has the original opeating system version from factory.I want to install the 3.01 OS and 3.00 resources.I made 4 floppys for OS and 6 floppys for musical resources. Is that all I need for it to work? I checked the floppys for OS disk 1 it has FD BOOT and PA1X_1.BIN files on it but Disk 2 and 3 and 4 it has only
PA1X_1.BIN file on them.Is this OK? I tried more copies on floppy still the same.
I need some help plz i just bought the thing and I dont want to mess it up.

upgrading to OS 3.01

Post by keyboardmadness »

I've just bought a Pa1xpro with OS 3.0.

Do you think it is worth/suggested upgrading to OS 3.01 ?? Which are the improvements ??

Thanks
