Electronic Genres education

Is there any sources to learn about the different genres of electronic music...

Trance, house, rave, disco, drum and bass, techno...

e.g. how does the tempo, rhythm, sounds used.... differ from each others?

I am not a electronic guy, and the patch names on the synth got me interested...
