micrKorg XL usb midi output from FL Studio problem...

I've got everything connected wand was wanting to use FL Studio to sequence the notes on my MK, but when I hit play in Fl Studio after programming some notes into the piano roll, the notes themselves play correct but there's an awful note that won't release - I actually have to press stop twice in Fl Studio for it to release. I tried just programming one note and it plays the note with correct velocities etc... but that horrid release persists!
Really new to midi so any help would be nice!

This happens in a lot of DAWs... try different things, like making the notes start a tiny bit after the measure does, and ending a tiny bit before... its usually a note going over measures that causes it, as the program skips over the 'note off' command.
