Hello from sunny Sacramento

Post by stainless »

well today it's sunny!

I've come here seeking advise and perhaps some accumulation of wisdom by paying attention or osmosis will work.

A friend has given me some songs he composed a "few years ago" and they are in .sng format

I've looked without success for a means to convert to MIDI so i can import into ProToolsLE

I am on a MAC G5 PPC and I have a Triton Extreme (if that's any help)

any suggestion on how to convert the files to .mid would be most wonderful

Load them on your extreme, into the extreme's sequencer then save the sequencer data as MIDI (there is an option to save as SNG or SMF when saving the sequencer data).

You'll have to have them on a memory stick or whatever kind of flash storage card the Extreme takes.

thanks for the response-

is there no way to connect the USB or Midi and just transfer them over?
