Absolutely you can. Be sure and give the M50 a good hard look as it has a 16 track sequencer (nice for composing) as well as the same sound engine as it's big brother the M3. The X50 has a previous generation sound engine. Glad you found this great resource. Great group of Korg users to be found here.

Welcome !!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, that is the whole point of any 'synthesiser'. don't get it confused with a 'cheap consumer keyboard', this is a real musician's tool.

Still, I agree though, if you think the orchestral sounds on the X50 are amazing, you'll be blown away by the M50 and M3, which have super-realistic acoustic and electric sounds (IMO better piano, strings, electric piano, electric organ, etc)

Also, you'll get a lot of better milage out of it as a single composing solution, with more effects processing capabilities and the built in sequencer. the X50 can only have one insert effect (like a guitarist only being allowed to use one pedal and no amp or anything) and two master/send effects, whereas the X50's big brothers in the Triton Series and the newer M50 and M3 both have five insert effects, two masters, and a total effect that goes over everything, as well as a two-band EQ for each of the 16 tracks.

Either way, welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the welcome guy's=D...

Well i choose the x50 because i think it's a bit "cheaper" price like at my music store is 920$CAD, also there's a guy in the net called Space4Keys and he do some freaking awesome patches=D

also do you know how to transfer patches from the x50 with the x50 editor?
