1: The arpeggiator will only play 16th notes. Nothing else.
2: Knob movement: always jumps to current position when touched. Knob pickup movement is not on board this baby.
3: No (pattern) mastering tools on board. This means when you made a balanced mix, each song will have it's own level of volume. For live performance it's gona be a pain in the arse to level things good.
4: No FX send dry/wet for each part.
5: ROLL: If you use roll more then ones in a pattern. You only have one main rolltype to select in the pattern menu that like it said is only PATTERN menu.
6:Editing parts when playing live: When playing live and tweaking knobs and you want to select another parts to tweak knobs or just edit something, you always wil need to launch the part first by hitting it. Which can be very anoying that the sound of the part instandly wil play. Using 'part mute' button when hitting a part will not activate the edit mode of it. The trick of course is to hit it and instandly use part mute to put it back off again. For synths this works when notting is played in the first steps and for drumparts NO chance.
7: EG's: have only one stage... (decay)
8: About sounds when changing patterns! :
- Drum parts: when a sound like ''bigbreak'' (romsample 041) or a crash cymbal or any sample that is programmad that close to the end of the last measure and lasts longer then the remaining time of that last measure. It will be abrubly cut off, except when the new pattern caries the same sample in the same part.
- Synth parts: Even worse problem here. When using EG TIME in decay mode. Decaying sound will be cut off. always, even when the next pattrn has the same sound in the part.
- FX:When a part uses an effect like a Delay or long reverb or... Sound will be cut off except when the next PATTERN has the same effect in the same slot. Of course if the same effect in that new pattern has other presets. It will mess up your sound.
I hope this was a little helpfull for some.... I cannot wait to see the MK2...
