Triton Studio 88 EXB install

Post by enaje »

I got a Triton Expander board EXB PCM04 (dance music). Installing the hardwear board was a snap (almost literally).

The hard part, it seems, is getting the samples loaded.

HOW?

The package included computer disks, the kind I remember from 2002 or so. These disks are like a smallish CD that is contained within a hard shell package. All of the computers in my house accept CDs. The Triton, in fact, accepts CDs.

Any tips on how I get the samples loaded for play?

there should be a floppy drive above your cd drive...

search the forum for installing ram on a cd its something about changing the settings of the disk when you burn it. so that the triton can read it as a data disk

Installing Dance Extreme on my Triton 88

Post by enaje »

Thanks for the help. I finally was able to load the software (the hardware install was a snap), but it was far from easy. The instructions in the Triton "Basic Guide" and the instructions that came (in about 33 different languages) with the Expansion Board were, for me, very confusing. I was particularly nervous with the warning that something (!) might be overwritten and lost forever.

But, I was able to get the Triton to recognize the "floppy" disc and was able to load the files without any problems. At last.

Thanks again.
