There are cases where I like most of what Korg has provided for one of their songbook entries, but want to change a few of the the sounds/instruments, split point, and the chord recognition method for that songbook entry. I believe I would go into songbook, set up the changes, and then choose "write current resource" on Book edit 1 to save the changes....Correct?
When I do this, does it change the original style that the songbook entry was associated with?
Thanks. My objective is to get the songbook entries the way I want them, but not mess up the original styles for when I am using style play mode.

Yes you can change the instrumentation of an STS in the song book without altering the STS in the original style.
Bring up on the screen the STS in the song book you wish to alter
Change the instrumentation to what you want
Press Song Book button
Select "Book Edit 1"
Uncheck box "Write Current Resource" so as not to change the style
Check box "Write STS" and select which STS the new one is to go into
Touch "Write"
Make sure the "Rename/Overwrite" box is checked
Touch "OK" and confirm "Yes." New STS is now added
