Problem Storing Lyrics

Post by LarMorgan »

I am starting to add lyrics to some of my songbook entries on my PA2x, using the txt format on a flash drive. Everything works fine as long as the flash drive is plugged in. However, when I remove the drive, the lyrics no longer remain. Is the solution to move the txt file to the SSD-U drive? I tried that, using the media button, but the browser did not show the txt file ( it did show a midi file I had on the flash drive, so I know the browser was working).

I am sure there is a simple solution to this I am missing, so that I can have the lyrics stored on the Korg rather than relying on a flash drive. Thanks for any help. The more I learn about this instrument, the more I love it!

On my Pa1X I have the Lyrics in a folder on my hard drive and this works really well for Songbook entries for Styles.
For midis with lyrics they are part of the midi file and show automatically.
See this to try:http://www.box.net/shared/tmy0o3bj4k

Thank you, Reuben, for the help. When I created a folder to hold the text files, the Korg did indeed recognize them and I was able to add them to the hard drive.
