I downloaded Dan Stesco's Big Pack & really dig the sounds.
I'm trying to get his Tom Sawyer program which sounds fantastic and huge, into a combi I have. Only problem is, when I do that, I lose all the effects and dynamics that were in the program. Is there a special procedure to transfer the entire program, including tweaks and effects into a combi?
I only have two programs in the combi so I wouldn't expect that it would be over-taxing the resources.
Help, please.

The answer to this question falls into the "good news/bad news" variety.
First, the good news. Getting a Program with all its effects etc. into a Combi is very easy. Go to Combi Mode. On P0:Play, press the arrow tab in the upper right corner, and select "Copy from Program." In the window that opens up, check everything you want to bring into the Combi (including the various effects).
Now, the bad news. The M50 can only run 8 effects simultaneously: 5 insert effects, 2 master effects, and 1 total effect. It doesn't matter if your Combi is built with 1 program or 16. It still runs with a maximum of 8 effects. 8 simultaneous effects is actually pretty respectable, and with some sensible chaining and sharing of effects, it is usually enough for most Combis. But not always.
How many effects does the Tom Sawyer Program use by itself? Just bear in mind that the Combi mode has a single effects architecture, and all the Programs in the Combi have to share it.
But the news really isn't that bad: I used to make do with TWO total effects on my 01/W!
