Reverse Volume

Post by BillyB »

I am just figuring out my new EXP-2 pedal. Has anyone toyed with the idea of - in a COMBI having the expression pedal be able to simultaneously increase the volume of one sound while decreasing another? I.e. I am playing along using a e-piano and in a certain point of a song I want to switch it to a guitar or pad sound...I'd rather not use a split keyboard....just kind of sweep from one sound to the other...can it be done?

I can't think of anyway you could do that with the Volume Pedal.

EXP-2 is an expression pedal, not a volume pedal. It sends CC#4 as a modulator.

So you need to edit your Programs to use CC#4 to modulate the Filter Output... this is easier/smoother than using Amp level.

One Program would have CC4 set to -99 modulation value. The other would have this Filter level set to 00 and have CC4 set to +99.

Try it!

Glad to help - let me know how it works out.

I'll be away on vacation for around two weeks so don't expect any posts/replies/help from me until I return. Gotta turn off and recharge a bit!
