Dream Theater cover - A Nightmare to Remember (Korg Oasys)

Post by zolhof »

Hey guys,

me and some friends did a small tribute to the up-coming Dream Theater album, Black Clouds & Silver Linings. As a die-hard DT fan it´s very hard to avoid listening to any material pior to the full album release.

If this is against the forum rules then I apologize, but I didn't see anything in the rules about covers of unreleased music.

Everything you hear is from the Oasys, except for the choir patch which was from Spectrasonics Omnisphere.

Hope you enjoy it!

Man, That was cool stuff! I listened 1'st to your solo take. Then to the whole band! Very Tight! Very impressive! Heavier than I thought it would be! But I like that! Kinda reminded me of some Dixie Dregs! Well Done!

keep up the good work!

thanks guys

I did another section of this song, where Jordan plays 3 different and not-so-simple voices at the same time! A Haken Continuum line + 16th moving notes + BIG chords. I did my best to adapt it to one keyboard:
