Loosing the right channel

Post by freedisk »

Hi there.

I recently bought an M50 and played around with it for a while... absolutely great! However, after updating the OS to 1.1 I've noticed the right channel of the synth sometimes 'cracks' or disappears completely. I've tried different headphones (on the headphone output) as well as the double jack audio output through an amplifier.

Has anyone experienced something like this? IS there a solution? Is it possible to downgrade to 1.0.5?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

That doesn't sound like a software problem, but more like an intermittent connection in the amp section for the right channel. Initially I'd suspect a bad headphone jack, but since you've also heard it using the separate outputs, it seems like a problem a little further upstream in the signal path. And since it comes and goes, it sounds more like a bad connection than a complete failure of a component.

May be time to call Korg service ..

Thanks for the quick reply! :)

I went back to the dealer and they gave me another board. Now it works perfectly. It's probably just coincidence the other one stopped working properly after the update.
