Nickleback sound from AX3000G

Post by Party Chief »

ssmith1150....

Ryan Peak uses a Vox V-847 wah, Boss DD-2 Digital delay, Boss OC-2 Octave and an A-B-Y switch box. For clean sounds he uses a Fender Twin Reverb 1965 re-issue. For dirty sounds, he uses two Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier heads with two Mesa/Boogie 4-12 cabs each.

use the vox wah, mod delay, octave, blk 212, USmodern settings on the AX300g as a start and adjust parameters from there. I hope this helps some, I'll get back if I find more.

Hi, You don't have any idea of the equivalent settings for the PX4D do you.
Any band sounds would be nice for me being a beginner.
Look for the rock in everything, it is there.

New guy here saying hi and asking about patch install.

Party Chief,

I recently purchased a AX3000G second hand. What a great sounding pedal. it puts my Digitech to shame. That'a a great site you linked. My problem is my manual says nothing about uploading patches or anything about .AXP files. How does one load these patches into AX3000G and get them into memory assignment. There is no USB on my pedal. Do you load these using a midi cable or what ever the digital cable is? The manual only shows the digital cable going into a recording device so that tells me it's an output device.

Thanks for the help.

Hey Ed,

You will need a MIDI to USB interface to connect your AX. Go to the korg site and download the editor progam. Follow the instructions with the editor and you will be swapping patches in no time. The editor also lets you change parameters from the keyboard as you play. (If you had 3 hands that is  ) I haven't used the optical out on mine yet.

I picked up an M-Audio MIDI to USB cable at Radio Shack for about $25 or $30, can't remember exactly how much. You could probably find one on line if there are none local.

Hope this helps. Hit me back if you have any other questions.

Doug
