Question for M50-88 users.....a problem.

I've been playing my M50 88 for a little over a week now and when I play the middle area of the keyboard it seems to make a rattle noise (not the sound, the actual board iteslf).... like its shaking or something is loose.

Do you think this is a problem? The programs and combis still sound perfect, but the keys make that weird sound.

Is it on a table, or a keyboard stand?

Try it on a table, so ALL points (the underside rubber feet things) are touching the table.

If it goes away, it's the way you have it on the stand..

Yeah it's on a keyboard stand, that could be it since the part that is rattling is free floating, so to speak.

Ya,,, only reason I'm guessing this is the issue, is my 61, when on a stand for a sitting position, I can see an ever so slight flex in the bed.

I just put a oak stair tread under it,,,, stopped my concern instantly..

If you do this, make sure you use a board that is 5/4th thick, or the board will also flex...

A better title for this post would have been something to the effect:
"Noise in M50-88 key bed".

Then, people will read the title, and if that's the question they have, they will instantly have the answer..

The 88 has a metal fascia and metal bracing so it should be pretty solid on an X stand even.

Is the actual keybed rattling or is it maybe a loose chassis screw?
